QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Michigan Teaching certificate.
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree, Master’s degree preferred.
- Must be Highly Qualified in endorsement area.
- Must meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment. Need Early Childhood & Special Ed endorsements.
- Must meet all NCA and Michigan Department of Education requirements.
- Be proficient in the use of technology.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to equity, social justice and inclusion in all practices
and position responsibilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Create and maintain an environment that fosters student achievement and the development of lifelong skills.
- Maximize opportunities for student success by creating positive working relationships with students.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Show confidence in working with new technology and various application packages.
- Be a role model for students regarding life-long learning and professional behavior.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment and area always willing to learn new skills or revamp their curriculum.
- Be flexible, resourceful, innovative and can effectively manage the design and execution of learning experiences, both formal and informal, that are very responsive to the needs of students and the context in which learning is taking place.
- Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments and provide appropriate feedback on work.
- Assume other responsibilities as determined by their supervising administrator.
